Default 18x8 wheel opinions plz

Okay, I've narrowed it down to:

Enkei Tuning SC05's:

or Enkei LS-5's:

on this car:

the SC05's(silver) cost about $100 more but that's not the issue, I'm afraid the LS-5's(black) will leave the stripe lonely and I'm thinkin maybe the SC05's will match better.. opinions?

I'd do the second, lost the stripe, lower the car, and tint the windows.

Can't lower it, speed bumps in my apt complex are HUGE and I can only avoid about half of them. I'm hoping the 18's with low profile tires will give the illusion of it being lowered by filling the wheel-well but keep it roughly the same height so I won't have any problems with the speed bumps.

Getting window tinting this week or next

If I lose the stripe then the 45th anniversary emblems will be out of place, and taking both off seems like a crime

Why would removing the stripe have anything to do with the emblems???

An 18x8 is going to be too small and not look good at all IMO.It will not fill up the wheel well and it will not make it look lowered without being lowered for real. Those wheels you are looking at might fit but would work better on a civic, the offsets are probably horrible.

Yeah, I agree with all that. You can lose the stripe and the emblems will looks fine. 8 inch wide wheels are never a good idea on Mustangs.

Don't look at anything for Enkei, American Racing, etc. unless you know exactly what you're looking for. You have to know everything from what offset you need to whether the wheels will fit over your brakes.

18's with low-profile tires will not give the effect of it looking lowered. It does the opposite actually. 8" is not to small in width, especially for yours being a V6 there's no need for anything wider.

The Godspeed wheels are a little expensive, but I know you don't want wheels that everyone else has on their mustangs but you have to know what you should be looking at first.

on the silver ones:
offset: +45mm
backspacing: 6.22"

on the black ones:
offset: +40mm
backspacing: 6.06"

what should I be looking for in those numbers? tirerack.com says those both will fit an '09 stang

and I don't really want 20".. cant afford to upgrade suspension and get 20" rims at the same time anyways. whats wrong with 18s! and I was thinking about getting 18x9's

also I decided to get the Nitto INVO's, same performance as the 555's but better scores in comfort/quiet PLUS they aren't directional so I could get 18x9/18x10 staggered and be able to rotate without popping the tires off the rims

edit:

okay, what about black fr500's and their polished lips can keep the mustang stripe company. I really like the stripe, maybe I'm the only one lol

I think FR500's woulod look better than the Enkei's.

The backspacing on those is okay. 40mm is a little tucked under the fender. Somewhere around 30mm is flush with the fender but pops out a little under the fender. I think 45mm is too much offset.

The FR500's would look really good IMO. I still would rip that stripe off, but do what you see fit. It's your car.
