Tire Choice
I need some ideas for new tires. I might buy a winter beater, but if not i'll probably need all seasons.
I don't want to spend that much, I'm 18 with some bills.
Any ideas on All Season, 275-40-17 performance tires? If i do buy the beater, i'd appreciate some ideas for summer tires.
Thanks.

People pick on them becaus ethey aer cheap and Korean. Keep in mind, it is an all seasone tire, so you give up some hot weather performance.
I would not hesitate to put them on my car if I wanted a budget all-season. I used to run Kuhmos on my car, not these though, and pulled consistant 2.0's in my 60 foot at the track (pre-blower days). Those are better numbers then stock tires and better then most guys get on Nitto's.

They arent noisey at all, they grab really well, and have a nice pattern to them too!
I paid like $93 for the 275/40/17's on the rear and 245/45/17's on the front!

Suck in the cold. I have the 275/40/17s. They have a good grip in the summer but in the winter they spin under normal acceleration and are horrible in light snow. But whoes stang grips good in snow. But a good price.

I just picked up a set of Fuzion HRi's for my stock wheels (245/45/17) for the winter. I've had them for about 3500 miles and they have been great so far. I have another set of wheels that I can put a better tire on for summer so I stuck with the stock size. I don't think they make a 275 though...tire rack has them for $89 a pop.
Edit: Just drove home in the snow tonight and these tires held up great. Up hills, from a stop and didn't spin once. (Have 140lbs of sand in trunk also)
