Venom Nitrous Plug Choice
Finally got the IRS refund check back!!! (About Time) Ordered my Venom Nitrous kit a few days ago. (Waiting Paitently) LOL Now I want to go ahead and change the plugs, ive heard too many arguments about which kind to go with so im asking this question to Venom users who have made the choice. Should i go with standard copper plugs, or platinum??? Can i get away with re gapping my stock plugs??? Ive only got 20K miles on my car and the plugs and wires are still in great shape. Thanks for any help.

Change Them! Absolutely change them. For 4 reasons and 4 good ones:
1st - You need to gap your plugs closer with nitrous to prevent missfires. Gap to 35 otherwise the juice tends to blow out the spark ('course, you don't need new plugs to do this, but they will be out anyway)
2nd - You need plugs that are one-step colder. This will help prevent detonation. Colder plugs pull more heat away from the combustion chamber.
3rd - You need to use copper. You will get a better spark and if you run lean, the copper will melt before your cyclinders.
4th - You need to read your plugs!!!!! You can't do this with old plugs. So, when you start at a 25 shot, make a few runs, and then pull one of the plugs and look for signs of detonation or lean a/f. Each time you increase your shot, pull the same plug and inspect it. Technically, you should pull of them, but I really don't think you need to take the time to do that. Lastly, you should get used to reading your plugs from time to time....it is a really good idea as you might prevent a disaster before it happens.
The Venom is the safest setup on the market. Follow these plug rules and you will be golden.
I use Autolite 103. They will cost you less then $16 for 8 plugs.

I think you would be fine with those miles. But with anything, the more miles you have, the more likely something will break such as rear-end, etc. But, I would not worry at all especially if they are 80k well maintained miles.

Have you ever used WINMX, it would perfect for this project, just install the app and make a special folder for the file, make only that folder your shared folder and tell us the name of the file. We will then be able to do a search when you tell us your online, we could set up a designated time to do the download. Winmx is very slick and has to my knowledge no trojans or spyware. Only way i could think for us to accomplish this outside of AOL or Yahoo instant messanger. Let me know by reply or PM if you need some help setting up WINMX.
