Default nice daily driving tire

Currently im running 265/35/18 dunlop sports up front and 275/35/18 bfg drag radials in the back. I love the grip I get with the radials but my car is a daily driver and I have only taken it to the track once. The problem is i'm lowered with no CC plates and the front tires are done for. Im going to by MM CC plates and then buy some new front tires. Im looking for some good daily driving tires that I can still grip with. I would like them to also have a bigger size so I can also buy the matching back tires when my drag radials are worn out by the end of summer or whenever they go. I think the best option would be Nitto 555's even though the widest they sell them is 285 for the back and nittos run skinny. Any suggestions on a daily driver for 18x9 and 18x10 rims?

kuhmos are cheap and are a good daily driver tire. I have had 2 sets of falkens and i didnt like either ones of those. But never tried sumitomo or hankooks either.

These are the only kuhmos i can find that will fit my rims and 275 is still a little skinny for the back. Are those the tires your talking about?

Well Ive narrowed it down to
G force Sport Z rated
245/40/18
275/35/18
for a grand total of $682

or nitto 555
245/40/18
275/35/18
for $642 or i can get 285's for $694

What would you guys pic if you were buying tires? I like my bfg's over the nittos I had but they were 275/18 drag radials over 245/17 nitto 555's so those arent really comparible........

The nittos 555 tires suck for any kind of traction because its to hard of a tire(the composite rating). I've had them and would never buy them again.

just another reason i stayed with 17x8's. No need for anything bigger really on the street with our cars. I mean even on the bottle i can hook ok in 2nd with street tires now that my suspension is setup good.

I just got a set of G Force's and really like them....they hook pretty well, quiet, and have a nice ride. I'm very pleased with them.

Sumitomo HTRZ II's
245x40s $174
275x35s $314

Total $488

For a daily driver tire they are great. Don't let people scare you away from these. My only complaint is road noise. I did a lot of shopping before I purchased these and came across a lot of mixed reviews. I didn't notice road noise until they had about 8000 - 10000 miles on them. They have about 12000 miles on them now and they still have a lot of life left. I'm not extremely hard on the tires (no burnouts) but I let them eat every once in a while. For the price as a daily driver it beats $650+ any day. If you don't end up with the Sumitomo's I say go with the BFG's or Nitto's.

Yeah i saw the HTZ 2's not the regular HTZ with that hanus tread pattern, but the other nice looking ones had actully good reveiws. I almost got those for new front instead of Kuhmo SPT's.
