Default Aggressive Stance

Alright, I don't know much about tires..

But I'm looking for a nice aggressive stance for my 02 v6.. This car is mainly for street also. I was wondering what size rims/tires would be good to go with..

Go with some 18x9 and 18x10s with BFG KDW2 tires 265/35/18s up front and 295/35/18s in the back.

hmm i wonder who has that setup? lol

for a real aggressive stance...i would go 18x10 in the back with 295/35/18BFG KDW2 and then in front do some 17x9's with some 275/40/17 BF Gsports in front...and then lower it using H&R supersports...and bam you got a damn sexy ride afterwards

Go 1 better than that get 17x10.5 in the back and run a 315, you have a v6 you dont need the extra weight from 18's!

lol extra weight...who cares...its not like it makes that much of difference...

18x9 and 18x10's weigh 114lbs all together...and with 17x9 and 17x10 it weighs 96lbs

O **** NOT 18 LBS!!!

its rotating weight...

so it adds alot of inertia to the wheels and puts more strain on the engine...

why do you think racers run small wheels?

Like I said though, I'm not planning on going to the track, not for a while, and not on regular tires anyways.

I just want to look good on the street and occasionally do a little light to light racing .. with the strain on my engine.. I do have a tendency to floor it alot.. so that might be a bad thing.

18s wont hurt...

I say ya go with 17s...

IMO... I think that mustangs need some meat on the wheels... not rubber band tires...

if ya like the look of all rim little tire then go for it

Lol, I do prefer meat ... not alot but just to make it look like i'm not on a half inch of rubber..i've actually got some to burn.. the tires I have on it now are pretty nice...they are uh... I think Goodrich.. not sure on the sizes or anything.. they came with the car... ;p

i'll probably check out some 17s... get the deepdish backs.. I'm still in love with that forest green stang that someone posted on a earlier thread of mine when i was thinking about painting... i wanna go with that sorta look ;p

If you have 315/35/17 or a 295/35/18 there isn't a big difference in sidewall anyways.

For a 295/35/18 KDW2 is nice, so is Toyo T1-R, Goodyear GS-D3.

KDW2 was supposed to come out with a 315/30/18, this was a few months ago. No idea if they ever did.

Maybe go 17's b/c they are usually around 10-15lbs. lighter if you are going to go to the track alot, but the rubber band tire's, especially on 18's just isn't the case. It all comes down to who knows about tire sizes and who doesn't. Just make sure you know what size tires you need. Research it, ask people on here if need be. Ask me, I'll help ya out. And a little tip, most of your ebay wheel and tire packages don't have the correct tire size for the rim its on. Don't know where you are planning on buying from, but beware of "wheel and tire packages". Here's pics, first of when I had 17's with a 315/35/17 on it and the second pic is my 18's with 295/35/18. There isn't much difference in sidewall at all (no rubber band look). I will say my personal opinion is that 18's are more for appearance and not performace. There is a noticeable difference when I put my factory 17's back on. I can't keep them planted to the ground. You gotta decide what you are going for.
