Has anyone had any experience with these? I'm looking to get my car to ride a little smoother, and my primary goal is to get some better traction off the line as well. Hence me getting shocks but not upgrading the struts yet...
Any other notable shocks?

I don't have it lowered... I really am trying to avoid it because I don't want it to scrape since it already will scrape sometimes when I go over speedbumps or pull into my friends driveway and stuff.

there ok, they will perform similar to factory. If you upgrade springs and end up picking a stiffer than factory spring rate these will not be up to the task and you will end up needing to switch to a shock/strut combo that can better control the bound and rebound of the spring.
I would look into tokico d-specs, or illumina's. or bilstein HD, Sport or Race series that Maximum motorsports sells.

I run these with matching struts and have been happy. They work great on my car...I'm lowered with Steeda sport springs (about 3/4" rear and 1" front) and it rides like stock. Don't really think I noticed any difference in traction but back then with 4.10s and street tires traction didn't really exist.

it's not going to help traction. If you want pure rear grip then put a torque arm and panhard bar setup on the rear. You'll have grip you've only dreamed of.
the shocks by themselves are only going to make your car feel a tad rougher riding and make it easier to induce oversteer. Honestly, I would not do just the shocks. Do the struts too and pull the spring isolators off the springs. You'll drop the car about 1/2" which is barely noticeable but will help CG. Put Maximum Motorsports lower control arms on. I think that setup will do what you're asking, well... at least most of it.
