Inner Tie Rod / Alignment

Inner Tie Rod / Alignment
Somehow I bent my passenger side inner tie rod. I don't know how I did it, but the wheel would shake about 1/4 of an inch side to side. I didn't notice it before I tore everything down to replace the balljoints but did notice it after I got everything back together. Anyone know of reasons that my inner tie rod would go bad? The only thing I can think of is that when I was putting everything back together, I put too much force on the balljoint nut, with the tie rod connected to the spindle, while tightening it. I would just like to try and figure it out before it happens again.
I also got the car aligned. Anyone think -0.75 degrees of camber of too much on the street? I had it set at -0.50 degrees and didn't have any problems out of it. I'll have to watch it.
Caster: 5.5 degrees (previously 3.5)
Toe-in: 1/8th of an inch (previously 1/4" of toe-in)
Camber: -0.75 degrees (previously -0.50*)
Drives really nice and smooth now, that tie rod was causing some noticable steering vibrations, really jumpy.
I tried to get them to measure my bumpsteer so I would know how much it toes-in/out in bump and in droop, but they wanted to be dumbasses and I told them to forget it. I think they just didn't want to do it.

I have actually never replaced the inner tie-rod myself. Since my car was already in to get an alignment I let them do it. If you inner or outer tierod if bent then that is the only part you should have to replace.
