If by busted you mean snapped completely in half, then you wouldn't be able to drive at all.

ok well not snapped in half, but its worn out or damaged. With the car jacked up the passenger side wheel wiggles. I'm just wondering if this and an alignment is the cause for the front suspension being all sloppy feeling? Especially with freeway driving it feels unstable in the front.

If the wheel wobbles it's either that your rim is out of round or the spindle is toast.

tie rod ends, ball joints, shocks, sway bar, low tire pressure, broken tire belts

If it wiggles then it depends on which direction it's wiggling. I think a side to side wiggle means tie rod ends, and an up and down wiggel points more to balljoint

I meant to say ball joint, not spindle.

Its the tie rod. The wheel wiggles side to side. It's a good thing I got it checked out because freeway driving felt very unstable and the steering was so sloppy.
