Default Lowering springs: need an alignment?

I'm thinking of lowering my 99 GT. If I install lowering springs, will my car need an alignment. I'm also thinking of new lower control arms and Bilstein shocks in the rear.

Any recommendations on lowering springs and lower control arms?

Thanks

wrong section goes.

You need an anligment when you lower the car. Also new lower control arms will help with traction and handling, there a great mod. If you do shocks do the front struts aswell as a car as old as yours im sure they are worn out.

For lower control arms, Maximum Motorsports or Global West, since both use a similar design (except the Global West pieces use a 1 piece poly bushing instead of a 3 piece). As for springs, FRPP, Eibach, and H&R are all good, just don't go crazy w/ the lowering. A 3/4" drop is perfect if your car is a daily driver while 1.5" is the max for that since at that point, you'll start bottoming out on speed bumps and driveways more often. If you stang is a Sunday driver, then you can go more the 1.5".

If I just do lower control arms right now, will I still need an alignment? I'm debating the lowering springs...might leave it where it is.

Depends on the area too. Around me, entrances/exits are at a decent angle so w/ my 1.5" drop, the bumper eats asphalt on certain ones.

Yeah here in orlando more then 1" and your gonna eat speedbumps and exit/entrance ramps all day. Hence why i rock bullit springs. PLus there good for drag racing which is my bag.
