Default Caster camber questions and alignment! Need help

I went to the alignment shop 2day to try and get my car aligned and they told me that even with the CC plates the car still needed abour 1 more degree on both sides to be aligned to stock specs! My combo includes D&D full front suspension: k-member,a-arms,coil overs, strange 10-wy adjustables, and upr 3 bolt CC plates ( i know 4 bolts are recommended but the alingment shop said it would not have made a difference if I did have 4 bolts) The car was dropped about 1 1/2" with the CO's...! The shop recommended to raise the car up some and they said it would give them a better chance for the car to be aligned to stock specs, but that would defeat the whole point of having my new suspension! Anyone have the same problem? Thanks for any suggestions ...

I had the same problem and all i did was drill the strut tower to allow the CC plates to move more outword. Thata did the trick but it was a big pain in the A$$.

I got it fixed! Took my car up to NTB and it took them about an hour to get them to do it right! Worth the $80 bucks I paid!

Default Good news

Sounds like the first shop just didn't know how to do it. I encountered the same thing, then had a conversation with the manager and his tec. They told me my suspension was too low to do the alignment - I asked them if they had noticed I had Steeda c/c plates and the manager said sure, but it still didn't have enough adjustment range.

He'd make a good poker player - he said it with a straight face.

But his tec gave it away - he looked surprised and took a glance back at my car.

I thanked them for their efforts (did not ask if I owed them anything) and drove next door to another tire dealer. Sat there until they did the front end alignment - no problems, of course - and went home.

Obvious that the first shop had messed up. IQ test score: Failed.
