Default they suck the big one

those friggen lug nuts that are sold here suck!!!

i have had them for about 4 months all throughout spring and summer and they are already rusted as hell. they shouldn't be sold if they don't last long i mean wtf. i wash the car everyday and they rust? i mean does rain make them rust. regardless they are cheap pieces of crap and shouldn't be sold here. now i got to go spend money on new ones or put the stockers back on.

anyone else have these and have you had problems? lemme know.

If you wash your car that much, no wonder more than the lug nuts are not rusting.

But, if the stockers were fine with the same about of washes, the new ones should have worn the same way.

Alot of it could be that they were a little bit scuffed when putting on the nuts. Will have a shorter life.

Are the threads rusted? Or the outside exposed areas of the nuts?

Does anyone know what material they are made from? Are they stainless, galvanized etc...?

You know if the insides of the lug nuts are rusted then thats a dumb user error....your supposed to grease the threads before you put lug nuts on to prevent RUSTING so you can get them off easier later because they are not RUSTING.

I have 3 different sets of McGards which are supposed to be the best, they rust very quickly. I have to clean them up all the time, they are for racing and have washers. The washers cause most of the problem. I don't think Mustang Tuning would sell a product that they new was bad, makes no sense. Have you tried calling and discussing this with them?

I have the same issue with those but Im going to switch to the Bullet lugs if Shambles ever gets me the locking ones . Im not sure if its is the lugs or studs that are causing it to rust.

These Bullet lugs are locking. Only way you can get them off is a deep socket bit. If you count that as locking, give me a call ill set you up with a set.

As far as these lugs go, these lugs sometimes do have tendancy to rust. They are not stainless steel, they are chromed metal, which means they might rust eaiser than other lug nuts.
