Mitsubishi can suck a fat one.
On the way to the mountains yesterday to go snowboarding ( ~ 2 hour trip one way), my turbo goes out. no reason. I was in third gear going about 30 miles per hour and it just goes. I take very good care of my car, but that does not stop it from breaking constantly. I'm ******* done. yeah, it's fast, but not if it's broken all the time. so, I'm going to fix it and trade it in for a tacoma within the next couple of weeks.
cheers to mitsubishi

Dont you still have that Ford Ranger? I would take one of those over a Tacoma. Tacoma's are way too pricey for what they are.
sucks about the yapanese import.
thats why most of us here drive mustangs
except me... with my yapanese import.

give me an offer. if you are serious, I'd be willing to make it happen. I'd even throw in a bigger turbo for ya.
and no, I traded in the ranger for my evo. I want a tacoma because they are reliable. something I haven't experienced with the exception of my motorcycle.

Sorry to hear about your Evo. What exactly happened to the turbo?
I've got over 170k miles on my 1999 Mitsubishi Montero LTD, had it since 20k and the only thing I've done to it other than typical maintenance has been a timing belt. I can't relate to Mitsubishi sucking.

in 6 months im moving in land (from philadelphia to state college which is in the mountains so lots of snow) and 4wd would really be nice.

lol...
I had a ranger for several years, it was reliable as hell.
The EVO is pretty heavily modified. Heavy Modded cars always end up with problems because they are beefed up beyond thier engineering specs. Things are bound to have problems.
Tacoma's are pretty sweet, dont get me wrong, but i dont see how they are any better than a ford ranger IMO... they just cost 5 times the amount and come with twice the miles.
i think it is insane what people are willing to pay for one of those.
