Welllll this sucks the big one.....
Go figure something breaks while i'm trying to sell my car.
The Scoop: ABS light has been on for a few days and major squeaking, especially gradual turns to the right. Turns out my ABS sensor has popped off on my passenger side rear axle shaft. Don't know if you can picture it, but it's basically this round solid ring that is placed right behind the end of the shaft. Anyways, IF I have to order a new one it's 137.50 from FORD. and labor from the dealer is 200 dollars w/ minimum of 2 hours of work.
The problem is, NO ONE knows for sure if they have to take out the rear axle shaft to either pop the sensor back on or install a brand new one.
Does ANYONE know that answer?!??!
I have an appointment with my installer Wednesday to take a closer look at it and see what we can do, if not he's gonna order a new one and go from there. At least he'll be cheaper than the dealer.
