Default **** this ****.

Alright, as some of y'all know I've been looking at new bikes to buy, well I'm 99.9% sure this is what I'm buying
http://www.bikepedia.com/quickbike/B...rail&Type=bike

But the guy at the shop ordered a GT Transeo or Nomad (forgot) in my size so I'm going to wait till Wednesday to go back, ride both and then decide. Till then I've been using my dad's 6-7 year old walmart **** *** mountain bike. It was probably $100 new. This thing is SO fucked up from just normal use, the brakes barely work (if you're going 20mph down a hill, you won't stop), the suspension fork squeaks, the spindle thing that the 3 main gears and pedals are attached to is ******* BENT so the ******* chain skips EVERY time you rotate the pedals. The last 7 gears don't work either. And there's some ******* rattle somewhere in the gears. It's terrible inefficient and not even ******* safe to ride.

But here's what pisses me off..

I told my mom I was going to buy a bike, but she got pissed when I said I was spending about $450, she thinks I don't take care of my stuff, since when I was a kid I trashed my bike, but I was ******* 10-13 years old, what boy that age doesn't **** up their stuff, I used the hell of that bike. Also they got me a <$99 camera last Xmas and my friend's broke it over the summer on accident (crushed it with a chair..), and I got blamed for not being responsible on that one, till this day they tell me that. I also told them I wasn't buying another shitty digital camera and going to save for a D40, that also drove them up the ******* wall. So I told her to go look at my car, my room, my computer and find something wrong with any of it and actually got pissed off at her for trying to lecture me about taking care of property.

"You always want to spend money on this nice stuff but you don't take care of it blah blah blah" SHUT THE **** UP.

I don't have spare money to buy one so I'm taking it out of my savings, I told my dad that and he said it was cool, but I'm positive he thinks I'm going to Walmart and buying another shitty bike. Wrong. I can already see him getting pissed off telling me how I'm wasting money, but **** that. I come from a family that way too ******* seriously believes in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", actually it's probably like "if it's broke, just Jerry-rig it and it's good as new". I'm just so ******* sick of my family not getting rid of **** that's not worth having and actually spending money on stuff that's worth it. EVERYTIME I buy something for my car I get a lecture from my dad about how that just a waste of money, **** I had a hard time convincing him that REPLACING cracked, faded, and peeling headlights with NEW ones was actually a SMART thing to do. My dad is so ******* cheap, he won't get rid of that ******* 81 4-eyed **** hatchback mustang with 260k miles. The damned thing leaks fluids constantly so he put a piece of wood under it which got warped and is bent up at the corners. Since he parks behind me I have to drive over it everyday and EVERY TIME it gets caught on my exhaust and gets dragged under my car.

I got home from my ride (or attempted ride at least) and I'm like "dad this bike is seriously the biggest piece of crap I've ridden, everything is messed up" And he said "Well you must have messed up then" ok..since I am the only person who actually uses it I guess it is my fault, but it's not like I did it on purpose or abused it, I just rode it like it should be and it FAILED. Would you seriously get pissed off at someone for that? I'm probably going to get bitched at again about how I don't respect my parents' stuff pretty soon.

They try to tell ME I don't take care of my ****?!? Anything in or at this house that's mine is the most well kept thing we have, my dad's Vette is always covered in dust and sawdust and there's dirty cardboard always leaning against it, my mom's Tahoe is god damn pig sty inside, whenever I have to drive that god damn thing I always end up throwing away half the **** in it. And I'm sure you've all seen our garage. Everyday now I go in there, find something, and ******* throw it away. We seriously have the most embarrassing garage I've seen in person, it is SO unorganized, my dad's tools are in atleast 5 different locations, so whenever I need somethign I can't ******* find it, same with anything else, paint, tape, glue. So I've just started buying all of my own **** so I can actually keep track of it, I always get bitched at for go spending $5 on a can of spraypaint because "we have that," well maybe if you didn't have it ******* LOST IN THAT SHITBATH GARAGE I WOULD HAVE KNOWN. we don't even have a ******* automatic garage door opener..lol

It's not like we're ******* poor either, my parent's must have spend atleast $12,000 on the kitchen in the past couple of years, which is actually probably the nicest part of the house. We have money somewhere, I just rarely seeing it being used on anything but food/bills.

But yeah, I'm taking $450 out of MY savings, which is MY money anyway, who the hell are they to tell me what I can and can't buy with my money, the ONLY reason I have that extra $$ is because of the ******* scholarship that I EARNED. And I'm going to buy myself a NICE bike, that won't **** itself from normal use, that I'll actually care about. And I promise to myself that when I'm older and have a family, I will not live like my dad does, his life is opposite of how I want mine to be. I'm going to have the most organized and orderly garage in the ******* world, and none of my cars will get treated like ****. **** being cheap.

I never really lose my temper with my parents, I just get extremely condescending when talking to them and hold it in, but I'm probably going to lose it sometime and just tell them exactly what I think, of course, that would be disrespectful to do. I guess this is the price I have to pay for having not moved out as soon as I started college, guess I will next year.

I just had to vent. The god damn bike broke on me 12 miles from my house. But I'm going to go to the store and take the car for a joyride to get into a better mood. It is nice outside afterall.

But in all seriousness, that's all messed up. Do you really like biking off road? Or did you just get it for its quality?

I'm into biking now to get in shape and use it for transportation to some places to I don't have to drive everywhere, it's mostly for road but it can be used in some offroad conditions (knobby edged tires) and really it's just a nice bike overall.

I got my self a Raleigh Hybrid bike for up here at college to get me around campus and exercise. That way i dont have to drive my car every where and save on gas. Not to mention i can wake up later and still get to class on time.

Nope, have applied to 11 places since mid summer but no luck. No one wants to higher people because of the **** economy..lol.

I average probably $80/week from small detailing jobs.

It's really only gas, if I keep above a 3.0gpa in school I don't have to worry about paying tuition. That is while I live at home, anyway. Won't have any spare cash if I get a dorm.
