Well... Unfortunately, I was unable to return before BOTH my threads were locked. Seems as though their are many things wrong with this board and/or its power hungry "Super" moderators. I don't see the relevance in a ban that was placed on me where the reason is "not specified". If I had made any threats or said anything that could be taken offensive then it would be warranted as I would not allow it on my board either. But a temporary ban for a topic in the middle of a discussion in the SMACK Forum, if you can't voice an opinion here then where am I supposed to take it? Obviously not here. Open-minded discussion in frowned upon and you (this board) with the exception of a couple, prefer to live inside your box and not look at others perspective that might be a little different than your own.

IF it was for sale for $500 to your door, I'm sure it wouldn’t be for sale for long regardless of whether you bought it or someone else! And no, I have know idea why you wouldn’t want a 2004 Mustang GT w/mods, perfect interior and body for $500 other than, you may not have the $500 to buy it. Since when did friendly banter and exchanging of ideas become a reason to close a thread and ban a long standing member? Prior to my banning I have been registered and frequenting this website since December of 2004. Where is my cookie? A ban for whining you say? If it had been whining then it probably would not have been a thought out thread with replies to all who cared to entertain my ideas and rhetoric. And YES, their are other things I enjoy and I don't make it a habit to be on the internet as much as I was, but it was raining and cold on a Sunday.

One last comment, even though MustangBoards.com may or may not be directly linked to AmericanMuscle.com, with the comments I have received and the way I have been treated here I will spread the word of this business and its attention or lack of, to its members/customers.

 

seems like theres been alot of threads complaining about mods in the past couple months. that is kinda unprofessional u get banned just for complaining about something. unless im missing something here...

 

he complained about a rule, well, more liek brought it to the attention of the mods. to my understanding he was rejected from selling something so he put on a demonstration. this demonstration angered the powers that be because it was annoying. (which is obvious)

If this were a forum that really cared about the classifieds section your point would have been more widely accepted. Even with my 1700+ posts, if someone is going to buy something it is buyer beware, you dont know me, yeah I am putting my 'cyber self' credibility on the line... but if I were crazy and REALLY wanted to rip someone off that bad? nothing could stop me. Basically, 0 posts, 50 posts, 5000 posts, its always buyer beware. 50 posts doesnt make you a saint.

The rules here are set by the owner/s... It belongs to them... you don't like the rules then don't post... The owner lets anyone join and has the right to ban whoever he pleases and let the mods do the same...

At the time, the rule was created to keep spammers out from hitting our forums with multiple posts to push their own business forward. Normally these spammers would just hit the entire classifieds section and post up whatever they felt like selling.

The rule was created, at the time, to not give away free ad space on the forum. The company paid for the forum, and therefore, discouraged such posts. If they wanted to push their product from their business they needed to actually donate to the forum to become an Authorized Vendor.

Since then, I have left AM, and the forum has changed hands in business. It is no longer owned by AM, but instead by a separate company that will end up tweaking the forum to be based for traffic and ad revenue. In the end, the rule will stand, even if it isn't listed in the actual Classified rules. It still comes down to free ad-posting. It's something that is frowned upon HIGHLY!

The rule was posted to give a reason why people's posts were deleted. I will consider changing or removing the rule depending on how my other mods and admins feel about it since things are changing. As of right now, you do have 70 posts and you are fine to post under the current rule, but please don't be a total ******* about the rule and why its there and so forth. Personally I don't like your semi-Holier than Thou attitude, but to each his own.

I don't know how long your ban is for, but you should just wait it out instead of trying to start **** with mods and admins on this board. Just my .02

He couldn't see the mods side, mods couldn't understand his angst, everyone jumped on his azz about it, he got notably pissed, someone ban.T him for whining.

The ban was senseless IMHO... a simple admonishment from the mods to accept the rule and move on with another topic would have probably done but I don't make the rules.

I was not contesting the principle behind the rule just trying to suggest that modification might be in order. So let me get this straight, you got your panties up in a wad because the mod staff won't let you put your car up for sale because you fail to follow the rules required to put up your car for sale. You then whine about why said rule is BS in your book and you start calling mods power hungry or something similar to that i'm not sure. I don't understand you at all. Follow the rules, plain and simple....starting postwhoring threads will also lead to no good...

 

First, several members explained to him why that rule was there and after all that he was not satisfied. He wanted to prove to himself how stupid that rule was and in doing got banned. Im sure all of you believe in free speech but common sense tells you not to yell fire in a crowed theater just like common sense tells you not to buy something from someone who has 1 post. Not everyone has common sense so we have to take steps to help protect members but not impede the process with alot of red tape.

I dont understand why people are so rude on the internet maybe its due to the fact that you hide behind a keyboard. Either way this forum is not a free for all, a blog or your home. There are rules as well as other members that post here so if you dont like it then you are welcomed to browse other forums and compare which you like better. I would suggest that you stop creating new names and continue with this issue as there is nothing to discuss. Your post count will be set at 0 when your ban is over and other screen names deleted. If you cant live 7 days without posting here then you should reevaluate how much time you dedicate online.
