Default Exhaust was delivered today!

So I've finally got my Borla Stinger catback sitting in my garage waiting to be installed. I have stock headers and mid pipe.

The pictures look like it has a straight through muffler design, but I can't find any real detailed information about the system. How will this catback sound with my stock system? I've heard the magnapacks sound good with stock, and it looks to have a similar design.

Also, I've heard 15hp the standard gain for a catback, is that about right?

HA, if you get 15hp from a catback on a GT then you'd be the first ever. More like 0- 1rwhp.

Most i ever saw for a catback rwhp wise was 5rwhp. Its not a power mod with stock cars, but its deffinatly worth it for the sound alone.

hm. I thought I remembered reading somewhere it was 15hp. Maybe that's with an X-Pipe?

Anyways, I installed them this morning and damn I love the sound. I was stopped at a light about 15 minutes after I installed them and a guy in a 98 GT pulled up next to me and asked what my exhaust setup was. lol.

The problem is that the restriction is at the exhaust manifolds, so opening up the exhaust after the manifolds won't yield much. If you want an increase in power, then get long tubes.

Shorty headers usually don't yield much gain. I plan on getting long tubes next spring, probably along with a s/c.

Sounds Sweet! I've got a fabbed up X-pipe system on my Crown Vic with Borla's and some knock of brand tips. It don't sound like the normal 4.6l Mustangs, but sounds good....Borla good!

I have heard the Borla systems........................................... ..................
