Default What now?

I thought I was done for a while with bolting "go fast" things onto my car. I was running down the road about 65 when another stang thought we should run. He ran, I trotted. With the mods listed at the bottom, what should I do next, knowing that my wife is pregnant and money is an issue?

You should get gears. For a N/A I would use 4.10s. You are looking at about $500 or so for gears and installation. Thats one of the best things you can do right now.

There will always be a faster car then yours no matter what you do! Who gives a crap if some looser has a car that can pull a little faster then you? What does that prove? When you go home at the end of the day do you think your little baby will care that you just got beat by a fender on the interstate?

Do what I do.....don't race people. Saves a lot of heartache.

Next thing would be gears, or if you're into that bolt on crap that wont get you anywhere but waste money, then go with a dragon plenum and 70mm aviator t/b.

But I agree with Jack.

honestly, i wouldnt even get a throttle body and plenum untill the last of your bolt-ons. gears should be the next thing. i went with 3.90s and picked up .5 in the 1/4 from the stock 3.27 gears.

buy a house for your kid to inherit. Save the go fast stuff till you're secure in your mortgage payments and diaper expenses. Getting beaten by some other choad is part of racing. Learn to enjoy the race and not so much the win and you'll be a lot happier.

If you've never had a kid before... start buying diapers and such now. You'd be surprised what you can spend on crap baskets after it's born.

where money=issue hot-rod parts=bad investment.

Sorry, I guess I need to update my signature. Santa got me a set of 3.73's. It was by FAR the biggest gain for speed. Could it be that we were rolling at 65-70 mph when we started, and my gears are lower, so not as much high end speed?

I was smiling when I first posted that. It was fun. That Borla stuff sounds great. BTW third kid. Just fishing for what to start saving for.

IMO, If money is an issue get a used n2o kit from one of these mustang forums.... I think a 75 shot would be perfect on a stock bottom... BUT BEWARE!!! Its like they say " Nitrous is like a hot girl with an STD... You wanna hit it, but you are afraid of the consequences." and then

I thought nitrous might be a good idea, but I know NOTHING about it. This is a daily driver, so reliability is good. What kind of coin would I be getting into for a complete setup?

Balancing kids, wife, house etc... and Mustang parts is no easy task. But, we all find a way to do it.
