so what if you're thinking of running a tuner and a programmer i have a sct and i ordered a programmer i can run them both cant i?? if not which would you use

 

nope, can only run one.

 

that sucks ill probably just put the other on ebay why cant you run both what happens

 

they reprogram your car computer to make changes. You cant use two when one already does the entire job.

I had that decision to make just recently and I figured that the handheld makes it SOOOO much easier to get a new tune that it was the only logical choice. Chips have to be pulled from the ECU each time a tune is flashed onto them so they're less than totally convenient.

A handheld tuner replaces the tune on your ECU with a new one entirely. The chip method uses the data port on the ECU to piggyback a new tune over the top of your stock tune which makes the stock tune invisible until the chip is removed. It is not possible to use both in any conventional manner.

 

Why the hell would you want to use both anyways?
