Default valves/springs

im in the process of changing my valve springs to put in my vt stage 2 cams, i am using an air compressor to keep the valves from dropping and its going good but the valve i am at now the air is coming out the exhaust so im afraid there will not be enough air pressure to hold up the valve when i remove the spring..... i have turned the crankshaft around a few times and it doesnt seem to close the valve........any ideas or is it ok to continue with the air coming out the exhaust......any help appreciated
