Default Blown 2 valves with 03-04 cobra shortblocks?

I might be able to get a decent deal on a cobra shortblock for my 99 GT. My near term goal is to make 550+ with my intercooled vortech set-up. I am going to stay 2v, to avoid complications and excessive cost.

I heard that the dished pistons in the Cobra shortblock will raise my compression, so I have to choose my heads/cams carefully. Has anyone here gone through this path, and can make recommendations?

I don't see how dished pistons are gonna raise the compression, but I don't the CC of the 03-04 cobra heads. They should have lower compression then stock unless ford has larger CC heads on the 03-04 cobra cars. Hold on a bit I will check for sure.

2v heads on a 03/04 Cobra block will result in a CR close to 9.5 to 1. The reason for this is that the 2v combustion chambers are much smaller than the 4v chambers.
