2nd the Yamaha R6 great starter sport bike. I have been looking slowly for one in my price rang so i can learn to ride more and not wait 15-45mins to park on campus at UCF.

^^ Any 600 is good for a starter.. I still hit 165 on it .. and its unbelievable on corners.. my buddies dad has one (the one i rode) he can beat a 750 if theres corners...they slow down..he keeps going lol..

Terrible recommendation. If Jons never ridden a bike, he needs to STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM ANY SPORT BIKE. Jon, do NOT kill yourself, get a SLOW piece of crap bike to learn on, you ARE going to fall, its a when thing, not an if. Take a course, ride for 6 months to a year, THEN get a faster bike IF you are ready for it.

OR DIAMOND PLATE!

Diamond plate bumpers will not die... easy... and bull guards are fanastic for bumping into things/ other cars...

however... Jon bought a dinky lil ranger so he won't be able to do much damage...
