Well, got rid of her last week.



































Had it on there since August 05 but it got way too fucked up and wasn't really making the car look any less shitty. Now I know why we put chin spoilers on again, those god damn air deflectors are ugly as **** and the front looks so thin. Should be replacing it in a week or two.

 

Sorry to hear about that man, your car was clean a ****. Those air deflectors are atrocious. What are you thinking about getting, I'm excited to see.

I'd like a 99/01 Cobra front but those are ten thousand dollars and hard to come by.

About those 99/01 cobra fronts.

My friend had one and sold his car for like 2000 dollars.

I was like dude, that front end was worth 1/4th OR more of what u sold ur car for.

 

I wouldn't say that. I've seen em go for around 250. Steve got his 01 cobra front in a straight trade for his 03 cobra bumper.

 

Stephen's also a ****** who finds amazing deals on everything. His whole god damn car is built off of lucky craigslist finds..hahahaha.

 

I can remember on this forum, when it was taboo to put anything Cobra on anything GT or V-6. Is it ok to put a Cobra front or rear bumber on any mustang? Badges too? I think they used to call them Fobras.. I guess it doesn't matter anymore for the new edge stangs, I'm gonna remember that....

 

So long as you don't badge it or have the bumper saying Cobra or try to pass it off as a Cobra I don't think anyone cares.

The 99/01 front should have been factory on our cars.

 

No joke, the 99-01 cobra bumpers blow every other new edge bumper out of the water.

 

I'm definitely guilty of finding stuff dirt cheap too.. I've gotten some great deals on SVTP lately though. Brand new Steeda HD Rear sway bar for $90, New X2 Ball joints for $90, Used Kenny brown STB for $75 and I think I paid like $60 for my MSD Window switch. Just picked up a set of Brembo front Cobra rotors new for $145 Saturday on another forum. (All of those $$ include shipping.) lol

It's tough to find stuff on Craigslist around here, but when you do people usually don't know what it's really worth and you can practically steal it, like my 'Cobra ducktail.. If you troll around enough you can find some seriously good deals, just have to know where to look.

And I agree 110% about the 99-01 bumper.. I'm still trolling around to find one of those, they're few and far between. Tousley's price without shipping for the bumper and all of the accessories was just a little over $700!!!

I agree. Shaved bumpers and no badging is the way to go.
