I put a pair of Alpine DVC 10s in the trunk in a custom box with an MTX amp. The front is slanted slightly, and there's about 1/4 inch between them and the MACH 460 amp rack. They sound great. This particular amp had a gain control **** that could be remotely located and plugged into the amp itself. I installed it in my center console next to the 12V power outlet. Now I can dial in the amount of bass that I want. I picked them up from a guy on eBay for $100, but then it was $65 shipping. I purchased the amp at Circuit City I think.

Here's a pic from the inside of the car. I turned the box around and faced them to the rear, like most everyone else. This view just shows the box and subs better than the pics I have from the back.

Yeah thats basically what mine looks like i just need to get it strapped down and mount my 6 disc. I have a Rockford Fosgate Amp with a remote punch dial too. I have a pioneer head unit in a dash kit with one of those little pockets under it. I took a hacksaw and cut out a square in the pocket and mounted the switch right in the middle of the pocket. It looks sweet, works great, and I love the switch inside the car

And on the holes....yeah i prob will drill some small holes i guess it isnt that big of a deal. Prob the safest and most efficient way of mounting. Thanks for all your help.

I tried to take some HQ pics to show how I put my box in between the factory 460 amps.

Default Subs

whitethunder46.. Nice set up. My box lodges right up under some brackets and doesnt move at all. Worked out real well.. and I have to say it was $600 well spent. I love my music while driving and the subs and amp added to the stock MACH460 kick a$$!
