I used to compete before I had my mustang with my beretta and ran resonant engineering xxx 12 and a resonant engineering LE 35.1d. I had my XXX 12 and a planet audio in my stang for about an hour and took it out because I didnt like the weight.

I guess you will never have a have theater system in your home since your TV has speakers :laughing9 Most stock systems cant compare with the aftermarket ones including if its from the same manufacturer. If you are not an audiophile then you will not understand why someone will cram a sub in a car. Just like most people dont understand why we spend so much money on a car that does not have a positive return when it comes to $$$$. There is a Latin saying which translates to this "Everyone eats sh&t in there own manner". I find this helps me understand why people do things that I would not.

Thanks, here is a day shot. I have a glass window where the capcitors are so you can see it but its protected. I can sill get my spare out. This was a test fit to see that everthing works ok and is functional. Llast thing I want is to take 2 hours to remove my spare. I will redo it later to make it seamless.

I do have a home theater but i still dont see the point of the stereo. ans we hve mustangs so i really dont get it? i mean me personally i would not do it for the weight alone added to me Muscle car. Buts its your car i just dont get the whole car stereo crazy some people have. as long as i have a good system where i can hear the bass and trebble i dont see a point ot changing things out. hell i liked the stock stereo in my f150 all i did was add a used 10" woofer a freind gave to me for 10 bucks and bought a 30 buck amp.
I guess you are those guys who like the stereos to be heard a mile away? either way your trunk setup looks cool. and i thought i had very little trunk room.

I was wondering if any of you have a sub box in your trunk? I have a 97 v6 coupe. I want to put 2 subs in the truck w/o losing room. Do you know what would be the best on to get ( i also have a tight budget)..Thax

I have a mach460 with a pioneer deck so i just put a MTX Thunder8000 12" in my trunk powered by a 6001 amp, 600 watt RMS @ 2 ohms. Darn thing is one of the cleanest sounding subs I have heard, my friends mom has a Lexus IS300, and that car has an awesome sound system for a factory setup, comes with 2 8" subs, my system sounds about as clean as that with more rumble from my sub, all the bass is turned out of my speakers so they control every high noise and the sub takes all the bass, I love every bit of it while drivin down the road and it doesn't annoy neighbors or passangers.
