Question HID Questions

I just installed new smoked clear corner headlights with a 8000k bi xenon HID kit. Right after installation everything looked fine and seemed to work. I just went for my first night drive with them and it seems like the hi/low switch is screwed! On low beam my lights shine. Way up the road and when I hit the switch for hi beam the light pattern drops way down to like 10 to 15 feet infront of the car. Is it possible the bulbs are side specific? Meaning if ya put on the wrong side they would lock in upside down? I'm really at a loss here. Help me out guys.

I also know that I still need to adjust my headlights and fine tune that. But before I started I wanted to work out my hi/low beams. Thanks fellahs!

did you just install the HID Kit or was it already in place and you just bought new headlight housing to replace your stock headlight housings?

Who did you get the kit from?

It sounds like the low beam and the high beam setting is backwards to me. You'll have to fiddle around with the plug that looks like the standard bulb socket. Move the connectors on the HID side of the plug around and you'll just have to tinker with it to get it right.

Against my better judgement I got the kit off ebay. My roomate gets EVERYTHING from ebay and he talked me into trying it out to save a few bucks. And you are right about the plug, I found a guy that had the exact same problem over on www.svtperformance.com I found out I could move those pins around in the plug. I THINK I got it right now, with the bright sun shiney day we had we couldn't really see a lot. But thanks for the replys guys!

yeah I was gonna say, the wires had to be in backwards... my dad had the same problem when they installed his HID setup at first and I walked the guy through on changing them so they were correct.
