Default Looking at mp3 cd decks for the car?

I have started giving up on the idea on a CD Changer to handle playing of mp3 file formats and am going to look at getting a single din cd deck that will handle wma/mp3/hd radio and so on...

But I have seen some that have a spot on the front of them where you can insert a USB Drive or Aux. plug like a ipod or other kind of mp3 device to them.

1.What would you prefer for handling type items, a USB sticking out when being used ( possibly be bumped in the car and broken off inside cd deck )

2.Run a wire for the ipod device if used at all...

3.Just playing mp3 formats from the CDR in the player alone as most do ?

Thanks!

my girlfriend has a cd player that has a usb cable coming out of the back of it and you can put the wire where ever you would like and it connects to the ipod. If you would like I can find out what kind of cd player she has.

let me try this again...

Stanley -> Hog Walla ( Wahallah ) I think I been there a time or too maybe for a car show yrs ago!

And only thing I dont like about Alpine is they are very proud of there product with there $$$, but they are nice...but I dont need something over complicated either or some fancy disco 54 display.

And I have always like Pioneer, JVC, Kenwood stereos...just want something that falls around $150-180 since my wife was forced to file for Un-Employment yesterday and she is going through some medical test to find out why she has on going headaches!

Whatever you get, make sure you'd be playing your iPod through USB, not aux. Aux sounds like ****. USB sounds way better, and it will charge your iPod.

It looks very good, I think I will have to get that one indeed...I dont have a ipod, but figured it would be good incase I do come acrossed one. The kids have them and a ipod touch so who knows. I have a RCA mp3 player, so maybe that would work too.

Does Best Buy still do free installation if that word still exist in today times?

I am not sure all I know is it is about eighty bucks to install somethin there Idk if it is free if you buy it there or not but I have tried to get them to install something that wasn't from there and they wanted 80 bucks so I went to cruisin sounds a local shop in Seneca. They were good and I think around 20 bucks for install and I havent had any problems with it but I know do my own install on that kind of stuff.
