its a fake scoop, get rid of it. and get rid of the saddlebags (sidescoops) while yur at it.

The stock hood scoop on 99-04s is bolted and glued to the hood, not sure on yours why it would be ripping off if the screws/bolts were still there.

it should be bolted on with 6 fasteners. If not, you'll be watching it go orbital someday.

Dave, I'd rather have the hood scoop than the f'ing shitty filled holes that are in my hood now..... I'd like to find the dealership you bought the car from and slap them in the back of the head.

its the front sides of the scoop thats off the hood, the bolts are still on, but when driving on the freeway, air enters underneath it and it starts to lift up to a point where it looks like its gonna tear off.

LOL. I'm not going anywhere near that one.

I just can't believe that they did such a horrible job filling the holes on the hood, if I lived anywhere near the shop that did it I would take it to them and embarass them as much as possible. They seriously look bad, and the paint is starting to flake because they are so uneven and dimpled.

OP: Just make sure that all of the bolts are tightened correctly, I would recommend just going hand tight since it's probably plastic.. Other than that I really don't think you can do much of anything else because that particular part of the scoop is so visible inside and out.

wasnt that bad when I had it. I had to try to see them. I couldnt ever see them while driving, so I was fine with it. Guess the filler they used is shrinking. sucks.
