Default Colored Headlights

What are your thoughts on colored headlights. These seem to be a cheaper alternative to HID and look interesting to say the least.

Colors come in blue, purple, and yellow.

I have a purple stang so I was thinking about perhaps getting purple headlights to match the paint and yellow foglights.

It seems like a pretty dumb idea to me. You'd probably get less illumination and HIDs aren't exactly expensive nowadays. You can pick up low-beam kits for under $50.

I've been looking at these, mostly the white and blue. I'm just not to sure how long they last and if they are worth the money.

check your local laws. Some colors are illegal unless they were OE to the vehicle.

I ordered blue luminics bulbs from american muscle, but I could barely see with them. I have smoked headlights though, so that plays a big part in it. I'm in favor of the single beam HID idea..... I'm so glad I got rid of my luminics.

If money is an issue, I'd suggest saving it. Purple luminics will probly dissapoint you. imo.

Don't go for em, they are horrible. You can't see ****, especially if your headlights are smoked.

Aftermarket headlight parts are all the craze today, but you need to make sure you don't break any laws by having colored lights, smoked lights or tinted headlight housing casings.
