Need opinion on new hood
'lo all.
:cussing: Some @&%@&* backed into my car while I was shopping, and decided to @%@#@% leave the scene before I finished shopping. I now have about a 4" crack in the front of my hood, as well as a few smaller ones to the left and the right of the main crack. Also, my pony emblem is missing a chunk. :angryfire: Oddly enough, no fender damage so I'm thinking it had to be a truck or large SUV that was raised a good height off the ground. Long story short, I have a $500 deductible, so no real point going the insurance route, so I was just gonna buy a hood on eBay or some such, but I don't have more than around $500 to spend.
This is what I was looking at:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7988134811
Any thoughts? :dontknow: My main concern right now is getting somthing that (at least comes really close to) matching my paint job (black) as I won't have any free cash for hood painting for several months.
EDIT: Also, in the item description: "Professional installation required, seller is not responsible for any and all fees associated to installation. Buyer understands that due to the nature of fiberglass, additional work will be needed to fit and install. "
Ouch. How much would that cost?
All I want is an OEM style black hood as cheaply as possible, this crack is making me want to cry everytime I see it! :sad10:

those hoods are garbage. Stay with the brands you know like OEM / frpp, steeda, cerveni, ect...
If I may, ill suggest some other nice hoods for you to check out.
Steeda q400
Cobra R
Cobra
even the v6 hoods are cool if you get the reversed inlet.
