I recently got my car repainted and I wanted to get my chin spoiler painted to match my car, but my body man refused to paint it. He said as soon as it hit or scraped something that the paint would flake off. Do you guy's agree with him or should I go to another place and get it painted?

 

That's kinda strange, I would htink they would do it anyways. You could try to take it to a different shop. Did you repaint your car the same blue...if so I would leave it...It adds a nice contrast.

 

i wouldnt bother getting it painted because it will get all jacked up then it will look even more ugly because it is painted.

The spoiler is textured so it will have to be sanded smooth or a high build primer will have to be used, either way I think it would be a waste of $$$.

 

It wouldnt be a problem as long as you didnt hit anything with the lip. The paint isnt NEARLY as flexible as the lip is. One bend and the paint will spider up where it flexed. I dont like the look of painted chin spoilers anyways.
