So i wanted a signature made and i took some pics, when i did, most people said take your bra off. I did so today and OMFG. Never buy a bra, all these things do is trap dirt underneath them. Now to take pictures i gotta wash and wax my car again... Bras FTL

Clear bra FTW. I've had 'em on a few cars, and never had any issues. Good thing to have around here, since there are tons of quarries in my area (plus Illinois throws down gravel during the Winter.) The type of bra you installed has long been known to cause damage to paint jobs. Sorry to say it, but you should have done a little more research before putting one on.

I am not looking forward to Love Bug season around here. I still won't get a bra for mine though. I am just going to have to wash them off everyday. Lol.

Yeah driving on the interstate daily plus love bugs is never a good combination. I hate it.

Texas aint that bad. But I do have some small paint chips on my hood. Ive been to states where its been worse. You just have to stay on top of cleaning your car.

Cool

I LMFAO about that bra problem, because really if ya think about it, its common sense that putting something like that on your car will either tear up your paint or something will go wrong with it. lol wow

just my opinion yet again lol

Technically, it only protects from the direct outside. However the inside of the bra is what will mess the car up.

If you routinely wash and wax the car, you shouldn't have any major problems with bugs. You might need to get a claybar to pull some bug guts out of the paint, but that's easy to do. The wax will prevent the bugs from becoming embedded into the paint and regular washing will prevent the bugs from eating up your paint.

You can buy the OTC kits at like AutoZone, Advanced, Wal-Mart, etc. They come with a piece (or two) of clay and some detailer. You run the piece of clay over the car and it will pull out things that are embedded into the paint, things that normal washing cannot remove. You should look into it. It may help you out a lot.

I love clay bars, its bascially gets rid of all the impurties from the surface of the paint. I really need to use some clay bar on my car maybe ill do it this summer. Ive done it all the time when i was working at the dealership cleaning cars it works wonders makes the paint all smooth.
