I think I paid between $35-40 for the black shifter **** and like $15 for the leather boot. I found a guy a ebay that makes them for shifters with all colors of thread for stitching and so fourth...

And like $20 at Radio Shack for the wire, sodder, push button, flex, sodder

what the button does is put you in a lower gear than you would normally be in it does nothing at wide open throttle but if you are cruising and hit the aod button it will drop a gear and put you at higher rpms.

If you are having trouble getting it in and out of gear then I would take it to the shop. You've already spent a couple days on it and since its still not working....that might be your best bet.

Krazy....check your PM's!

I think i might have finally figured out why it wont shift! I think maybe the spring is too long, which would explain why it would only shift into certain gears, becase on 1st gear and park it requires more pressure, which can only be pushed down further if the button will go in further. Aaannd guess what, it didnt work....I tried it without the spring so **** it im takin it into the shop tommorow...

the spring has to be in there to help apply pressure to the shifter to move from gear to gear...

I think your missing something when you disassembled the shifter and didnt put it back togethor with the THandle!
