Ford Racing shifter ****
This is a test ****. It looks ok, but I used a 1/8" ball nose endmill. I think if I use a smaller one it will look a lot better. So today I ordered 1/32" and 1/16" ball nose. Let me know what you think bcassette and 01GTBlown.

I really dont know much about CNC, but i assume that the smaller bits = more detail. also was it too hard to get the "racing" part just like the logo? with the R and the G connected by a line under the rest of the letters, or will the smaller bits help with that? but overall its a good starting point, but if you think something is not possible because of mechanical limitations just let me know.

It may sound crazy, but I can't do that line. The program I use limits you to text only when writing on a sphere. I can do it on a flat surface.
Yeah using a smaller cutter will have more detail.

well, you need to show that program who's the boss here and make it do it...j/k.
anywho, Im sure it'll still look good. one suggestion, is it possible to make the font on the racing part slanted, like this...racing? it just looks a little blocky if know what i mean.

i dont think a little bigger would hurt, just do what you feel comfortable with doing. and just remember, once we get thing lookin real good you could have a small market of buyers willing to spend some $ for one...me included. I had another idea, im sure it takes time to lathe the half circle out. is it possble to try the design on a flat piece to save you time, taking into account that the said design would be able to be transfered to the **** and a later time?
