Default Mach 460

2003 cobra...is that considered a double din? I might replace the stock head unit, so would this be a perfect replacement?

Yeah the Mach 460 Cd6 player is a double din unit. That Pioneer would be a direct replacement as far as size; but now sure about the wiring to make the rest of the 460 speakers/amps work. I know people have swapped them out using the stock speakers but not sure what they used or needed. I'm sure they will explain soon though.

Crutchfield will give you the correct harness to run all of the speakers in the Mach system. However, I would not recommend that unit.

This is what you should get http://www.crutchfield.com/p_105KWGX...&tp=5684&avf=N

Front mounted USB and AUX inputs, instead of being in the back. This is what I have in my Cobra and I LOVE IT. Buy an 8GB Flash Drive and you can listen to whatever you want with the USB input.

Well i broke down and bought a new head unit...thats the one i went with. i was looking at the GX500 until you showed me that one. I have reserved one from crutchfield. The harness that comes with it, does that work directly with the mach speakers? Or does everything in the box work perfect?

What's the difference between the 514 and 512? I've got the 512 and it looks like the exact same thing. No GPS, same options and abilities...Did they rebrand the 512?

Mine worked perfectly fine. The harness hooked right up and everything worked even the mirror tweeters. I'd say that you're all set.

Ohh and one more thing, I don't know if this is because the way I wired it or what but....after I installed the satellite radio (Sirius) if I don't drive the car at least twice a week the battery will die on me. So if you ever plan on going that way, just keep it in mind.

Other than that, GOOD LUCK!! Make sure we get some pics afterward too.
