Default Question on mach 460 Sound system

I have the 460 mach sound system and I was wondering how many watts does it produce in the stock form?

Can I get it louder?
thanks

oh heck yea you can get it louder buddy.... my stock cd player gave out so i just got a Aiwa head unit and it had a built in amp in it and there was a very noticible increase in sound! Im not shure what year your mustang is but all the 460's have (if you look in hte trunk) two amps. You could i guess get a new amp but ive never seen it done. Or you could just remove your door pannels and tighten everything up a little and may donw a layer of Dyno Mat and that will make it sound great

The mustang Mach460 has an output of 230w RMS and about 460 peak - hence the name Mach460. As in most cases, adding an aftermarket head unit will usually yeild better results as it has more options for fine-tuning such as dB slopes and EQ curves. If that is a plan I would suggest looking into Alpine, Pioneer's Premier line, Nakamichi, Clarion, and Eclipse.

yeah man add an aftermarket cd to it and it gets a lot louder. i put a kenwood deck in mine and was really surprised, i didn't think it would make a difference.
