i plan on getting my windows tinited, just wondering what % everyone else used.. what worked well.. what not... also anyone tint thier windshileds? any problems of any sort, look goofy without it?

i was thinking 35% on the windshield, 15% around the car.. please give thoguhts!

 

its illegal to tint the front windshield
u can only do the rear and door windows...

 

If you search for my pictures my rear window is 15% the fronts are 35%. Depending on what state you live in if they are real strict I wouldn't go lower than 30 or 35% on the front two windows. Don't tint the windshield

5% tint, so you dont see upon my window....

but its illegal but i still have it on my stang, see my sig.

and speaking of that, i need to get my rear window tinted already, maybe a 20%

 

If I was to do mine again i'd do 5% all around and nothing less. I have 5% on the rear and 15% on the sides currently. 15% is nice and can still out at night, but I just want it even darker.

 

I have 15% on all minus front and its nice and dark to keep the heat out yet you can still see out at night.

 

I'd probably go with 20% all around if I wanted to keep the car. I don't really mind the un-tinted look, for a lot of people, cars with dark tinted windows contain drivers who are the biggest tool bags ever, it's just an association you get when you tint your windows for some reason. lol

 

I am rocking 2.5% on the sides and currently none on the rear or front. I plan to tint the rear to 35% and the windshield to probably 50% even though it is illegal. If you want to be legal then go here and look up what your % can be:

I have 15% on the sides and rear, 35% on the windshield. I would like to have gone darker all the way around, but I'd probably get pulled over where I live.

 

i had 2.5% on sides and rear but got a heafty ticket for it and had to remove it, so now i am going 35% with a 35% strip on top of windsheild, if you can do it yourself you will save soooooo much money thats what i did its not too difficult just takes patients

 

No tint for me I have never liked it

 

what could you possibly not like about it lol?

keeps your car cooler inside, people can't easily see everything that you have in your car that they may be looking to steal, it even makes the car look better.

 

I never have anything in my car worth taking there is almost nothing ever in the back or passenger seat and I live in michigan so any light is good and I agree that tint makes black cars look better but I don't feel it does as much for other colors

it's just a personal preferrence

 

i have 15% on the front and 5% everywhere else.. the only complaint i have is if you are driving down a back road or a residential neighborhood and no one is behind you. you can not see anything. but it looks great other wise.

here is a pick.. i don't really remember if the tint is on the car. but it looks like it is.

 

Thanks for all the input, i went with 5% all the way around with a visor on the front windshiled, looks real good, kinda hard to see at night though.

 

Get some HIDs then...simple.

 

Won't fix the fact that you can't see out the back or sides at night.
