Question Racing stripes

Hi!

I am from Croatia(Europe), i have purchased 2005 Mustang in USA, and finaly i got it, after 4 mounths of waiting for container to arrive.

I like the Mustang and i am very happy, but my racing stripes are demaged and i want to buy new ones. Pronlem is that i cant find any racing stripes in Croatia.

Now...question is... Can i paint the racing stripes in some good shop? Has anyone done this before?

Sorry for my bad english...

Thank you,

Mario

How are they damaged? Explain more if you can.

Yes you can paint stripes on, its the best way to do it. It has been done, and it looks great.

Thanks for answers.

The stripes are fissured on the roof and bleached from the sun.
I have just one pictre of the car, i took that picture durning the opening of container.

I will post more pictures soon.

Mario:

Are the stripes decals? or were they painted? IF, they are decals, they can be removed and then apply new ones to replace. There are tricks to pulling them off which require some heat. A shop that does decal work could do this easily. If yhey are faded, then they must have been decals.

Once removed, strips can be painted, but it is a lot more work. The entire car needs to be taped and then the area prepped and then painted.
