Default "racing" stripes

Anyone know where to get stripes for the hood of 2005 mustangs? I'd like to get a thick solid black one to cover a good portion of the middle of the hood (like the old '69 mach 1).

maybe my description was not very clear...in that case, is there a good website to purchase from that has a nice selection of stripes for the stangs?

thanks

Default car bras

I was thinking about getting a bra for the front of my car to protect the paint. My friend, however, claims that the bra can actually scratch your paint as it slaps against the hood and front bumper constantly whilst driving.

So
a. is that true

and

b. what's better? rocks or the bra scratching?

did you ever consider having the middle of the hood painted? i had the hoods on two of my other cars painted, i thought they looked good.

that might be a good way to go.

I just wanted to keep the car as original as i can...figured a stripe could come off if i wanted. But I dunno if that is possible. Also, i guess the paint around it would fade and that underneath would not.

maybe i should just buy a second hood, and do the paint thing like you recommended. Guess that could get costly, though.

DO NOT.... I repeat DO NOT get a bra. It destroyed the paint on my '94 and I took it off every week to wash underneath it. It was from Lebra. The moisture destroys, it retains it way too bad.

if you have never installed decals before take your time and read directions, exactly, the wider the decal ,the tougher they are to put on,and if you screw up there yours for keep!but graphic express is where to buy from.

i really liked the way mine turned out. it only cost me $100 each time, but i've known the guy a while. the paint was free because he had some silver left over from another job and that was the color i wanted on my hoods. here's the only pic i have of the green lx and one of the blue coupe, see what you think. sorry about the smudge on the green car pic.

Stick on racing stripes?Take it from someone who has been involved in car and bike shows for years, decals of all kinds look cheap. The first thing anyone who walks up to a car,or bike, with graphics is to feel the edges. If they feel an edge you can see the all knowing look cross their faces.then they turn to whoever is next to them and say something like "I knew it was a sticker" or "Why do people spend this kind of money on a car and then cut corners with stickers".Even if you don't want to show your car it will only look good from a distance.Bra's are another way to work toward that new paint job.Dirt gets underneath and there's no way to remove and replace without making small, and sometimes large, scratches from trapped dirt.Stay away! The clear bra works very well and I wish I would have gotten one when I had the windows tinted. As far as keeping the car original,it will only make a difference in about twenty years or so.

Ive got vinyl stripes on mine and they look great. not to mention i did it myself, there aint no bubbles, it cost me 40 bucks, opposed to 1600 which i was quoted for stripes under clearcoat.

I went to your link for Rallystripes and clicked on the mustang stripes and it said that it was under construction. Do you know of another good place for stripes. Also your stripes look gold.... they aren't Arizona Beige are they. I've been trying to find a color that will match close to Arizona Beige.
