find a v6ers trunk lid with out the wing that matches your color. Otherwise your gonna have to fill them in and have it repainted.

Oh yeah, how did the push pins work for you? I still have to get off my lazy butt and head to lowes to get them. Will do it in the next few weeks.

Easiest way would be V6 trunklid. If not, youll have to weld patches in and all the finishing work.

Like to see how you can weld fiberglass.. :merror: bondo also will only work for a short time before it will crack out due to expansion variations between the fiberglass and the plastic filler. The only right way to do it would be to rematt and resin the entire top decklid surface, much cheaper to just find a v6 or bullitt decklid, I searched until i found one in my color for $175..

The outer skin of the trunklid is sheetmetal. The supporting structure underneath is fiberglass.

I just looked at My 04 trunk likd and it is not metal. It is definetly plastic. The best permanent solution is to find a V-6 guy that will trade your trunk for his. I have yet to see those holes patches sucessfully so you cant see them.

GT bumpers have a little cut out for the tail pipes, while the V6's dont. So if you have turn downs or side exhaust, you wont have a hole in the bumper (not really a hole but you know what I mean). So you put on the V6's and makes it look cleaner.

Dude, ColoradoStang, check online,

http://www.coloradomustang.com/fordrace/fordrace.html

This place in denver claims to have the worlds largest mustang salvage yard

Being colorado with this crap snow and all, im sure there are some newer V6's that might have been totalled with a relativly untouched backside, might be able to find a trunk lid there without the holes, might even find the right color and in real good shape.

good place to check anyways
The Bullitt edition cars also came without a spoiler.
