Headlights
Ok so I just ordered a pair of smoked headlights for my Roush. The instructions say to seal the lights in some type of sealant for optimal performance... Somebody tell me what kind of sealant and how much and where I need to put it on.

You can also throw it in the oven for 3 mins at 250*, so that you can melt the existing sealant and squeeze it together for a tighter fit. Just make sure you place the headlight on some wet cardboard so it doesnt burn the headlight.

"Note: We recommend sealing your headlights with silicone RTV sealant before installing them to prevent the possibility of moisture condensation on the inside."
That's what the fine print read, I'm taking it as if they took the time to put it on there, you probably want to do it?

i had some about 3 years ago and it rained the day after i put the lights on and fogged up. i took the lights off let them dry out and put RTV all over the edges still didnt fix my problem so i sold them for a huge loss on ebay.

My headlights suckass now, so if I tied flashlights to the light housings, it would be brighter than what it is now. Which is why I ordered the new ones, so if I get them in and they fog over after putting the goop on I'll be all kinds of pissed...

Here in Arkansas you cant even get them out of the package...the guy who bought them thought it was the shippers fault and sold them to someone else cause he didnt want to put sealent on them.

So many people are having problems with these head lights but the company that makes them arent doing anything to better seal them? i guess ill do the headlight bake and put extra silicone on the outside to make sure they dont leak.

Alright here ya go..crappy camera so it doesnt look too great, but the silicone is between the two red lines and goes all the way around the light where the lense meets the housing.
My lights are foggy regardless because they're both cracked pretty bad and need to be replaced.
