Custom Sub Encloser

I was thinking about buying a single sub speaker and building a box to fit into my spare tire area..

so a single sub in the middle of the trunk through the carpet piece has anyone ever done this by themselves?

sounds like ***. don't. Been there with a JL 10". No bwaynoh... dulls the sound to just a bass roar instead of distinct beats.
