I wouldnt suggest CF on a mustang.. just looks odd, thats my opinion though.. Plus, have you seen what happens to carbon fiber when its in the sun for long?? Take it from me, my buddies have Evos and STI's w/ a whole lot of carbon fiber, and if you dont constantly protect it, the clearcoat will crack and youll have to haveit all redone not too far down the road..

But as long as you protect it and keep wax on it and all that special stuff i think youll be good.. lemme know how it turns out

I actually don't like the look of carbon fiber all together, in my opinion. But if you paint it, then its the best of both worlds.

Hey Jack, did you lower your car? It doesn't look like it in the pictures. BTW, the shaker setup looks awesome. Maybe your CF hood is an exception. haha.

lol...

VIS makes good stuff. They are pricey. The hood i got is from Reflexxions, they make some pretty good stuff too. Expencive though, thier CF hoods go for about 700. Got mine for about 500 cause they stopped making them.

If you find a carbon fiber hood for under 500 yer probably getting junk.

as for carbon fiber not looking right on mustangs, Personally i like the way it looks. we have several people on here including lance03svt who had a CF Cobra R Hood and Venom who has a CF hood.

Nah man, his carbon fiber lip alone was over 600 dollars.. i dont call that cheap.. lol he has an evo.. hes done alot of carbon fiber work.. his still looks brand new, but ive seen CF thats a yr or 2 old and it tends to mess up..

unless they just bought the cheap ****,

I dont think CF panels are worth getting on a street car. You may spend 2k and more on CF parts and with that money you can buy a used SC. My hood cost $1000 and you get what you pay for when it comes to CF. Im not sure how many know this but our stock hoods are fiberglass. If you want to get a CF go for it but getting fenders and trunklid is a waste on a street car.

I just found a place the other day that carries several CF pieces that I was curious about as well. The place is www.tiger-racing.com and then go to the "for sale" section. An example of these pieces were in the new Modified Mustangs, its the red 1996 Cobra NASA car. I know its not your model but they do have a good product but the price is kinda high.
