Well screw the dillema thing... heres what i got...

1 12 inch JL Audio sub
1 Perfomance Teknique 2000 watt 2 channel amp
JVC KD SX 770 45wx4 Deck

Audio shop says they can get me a sub box that will fit into my trunk for me.

Now can I run this sub on that amp and not blow it up or anything?

And would I need another amp to run 6x9 speakers

In the long run I plan on having 2 12s (depending on what this one sounds like) I want a back seat delete so they can both go there, and full aftermarket speakers all the way around..

Also, what brand of aftermarket 6x8/6x9 speakers would be good?

This deck is TEMPORARY, I got it second hand, for free from a buddy, its a little older, but for now its going to get the job done...

Any suggestions on what brand of wiring to get as well? I figure i'll go with 4 guage for sure...
