Default exhaust setup....what do you think

alright....winter is almost around the corner...time to save money for future mods. the first thing that may be going on in the spring is a whole new exhaust setup. i was thinking about going with bbk long tubes, bbk x pipe, and mac pro dumps, or mac long tubes, mac x pipe, and mac pro dumps. anyone have a similar setup and what do you think about it? any other suggestions?? thanks

I have heard negative things about bbk quality. I have never seen a stang driver who is a serious racer use any of their stuff either. I have a bbk TB as they seem to make them very nice.

I like SLP, Bassani, and Magnaflo myself. But, it is truly a personal choice.

Have you heard how the BBk x pipe sounds with a chamber muffler before? Its sounds like there's marbles inside your exhaust pipe rattling, make sure you've heard it in person before you get that setup.

My setup on my old stang was as follows

Flowmaster 2 chamber dumped
MAC Lontubes
MAC o/r H pipe

It was very loud. Once I got the Flowmasters dumped it was even better. Some people would get a headache from being with me in the car. I loved the setup and I had no trouble with the MAC products either. I got them for a very good price also so that was even better. You could hear my car coming welll up the road, and I got lots compliments.

Yes as stated above, the quality of BBK's exhaust is sometimes questionable, but so is a lot of other stuff. I know for a fact though, that my opinion is to not get an X pipe like Bassani or BBK with Flowmaster mufflers. If you want an X pipe with the flows, get the Mustangtuning one or a UPR. They both sound AMAZING!
