Default Venture Shield

So I dropped my baby off today at the dealership to get the clear bra put on using the Venture Shield product. They said they hope to have it done by tonight. You cannot wax it for 30 days.

I think their website is www.ventureshield.com

Hopefully this will stop my paint chip problem. And hey...I actually went over 500 miles on the odometer today!

It is kind of unfair...I drop them off a cool GT and all I get to drive home is a '07 Focus.

At least I won't have to worry about putting any gas in the tank driving it back and forth to the dealership.

Well I picked my car up yesterday and wouldn't you know I still have problems. Ironically, the trouble area right below the lipof the hood was not covered and there seemed to be 2 places where debris was trapped under teh bra. Other than that everything else was flawless...the front bumper and wheel wheel looked good. And you cannot notice it until you are less than 5 feet from my car which is a good thing. So I called the dealer back up and expressed my disatisfaction and they are going to redo the hood next Monday. It takes 30 days for the stuff to cure and depending on teh temperature 3-7 days for the stretch marks of the plastic film to heal. You cannot wax it for 30 days. Man it will be really hard to wash my car and not wax it for the time being. I will have to do an extra careful job when drying it! Once the hood gets squared away I will take some pictures and post them.

OK...so I took my car in today again to get the hood done. Luckily it came out very well. they were able to wrap it under the hood this time so I have total protection just like I would if I had a vinyl bra on.

Here is a pic of the car's front end:

You really cannot see anything. The entire front bumper, all the lights, and the front wheel wells are protected.

OK so here is another pic of me standing directly over the hood and I turned the flash on so you can see the invisble bra finally.

Don't mind the car...she is a little dirty...only the third time ever she saw rain today.
