Gunk Engine brite/degreaser! Works great.

I got some stuff that works better than anything you can find at the stores.....I get it from work. It's some industrial cleaner/degreaser, we get in in 100gal tanks. I spray it on the insides of my rims where all the brake dust is and wash it off with water and it's like new again, same with the engine. This stuff is soo potent you've gotta delut it with water prior to using, otherwise it will eat through almost any spray bottle!!

Whatever you use, dont use a power washer and use as little water as possible. Dry it off fast using a leaf blower.

I was hoping someone would say they use an industrial degreaser because my work does the same thing and buy massive amounts of it and I can just get that **** for free. And ofcourse I've got some armour all, who the f--- doesn't? ha

I used Black Magic's Engine Degreaser. Worked very well and it was a LARGE spray foam can. It cleaned well but isn't a "shine" product at all. For that i used "All Around" from work. Basically a spray bottle similar to armor all. I just sprayed that all in the engine bay.

That'd be awesome. Yea I know about deluting it. We have to do a 50/50 mix with water in each spray botttle. That **** it crazy.

heres a few pics of before, during the process and the results! in person it's 10x better then before!
I didnt delut the mixture very much, one part of the engine bay was soo nasty will oil and grease buildup i just sprayed the cleaner raw on it. The rest was mixed 1 part cleaner/5 parts water. This stuff it pretty crucial.

I didn't realize my dad had some of that Gunk brand cleaner so I used that and that baby is sparklin'. I'd take pics but I have no idea where the digital is at.

for you guys who plan to use industrial strength degreaser... be carefull using that. I stained my throttle body/plenum using "DC-99". We get it by the drums and i figured Ill use that... lol. It stains paint if left on too long as well. you guys are better off using an actual engine degreaser which isnt as harsh.
