I already have the SCT programmer for my 99 GT. I will be installing nitrous soon(100 shot). Just wondering if that switchable chip would be better? I like the idea of being able to change programs on the fly. Just wondering if they can program for diff gears and tire sizes with this?

 

i'm almost positive the 4bank elim. chip will accomodate that. only drawback is if you change tire sizes or gears w/the chip you'll have to get the chip re-programmed. if you go w/the programmer you can play w/the settings more and have less downtime then the chip if you like to change stuff a lot.

 

If you already have the programmer just use that no need to go and spend more money. Plus even with the SCT chip, on pretty much every car that I know of that has one, when you switch tunes the car will stall so you will have to stop and restart it anyhow. I mean whenever I get the bottle filled I usually upload the nitrous tune while the bottle gets filled anyhow.
