Whipple 3.4 or Kenne 2.8

the whipple will make a lil more power...most people that run the 3.4 make mid 600's on pump gas and 17-18#'s of boost. you will just have to make a couple fuel upgrades to feed the beast.
i would over kill the fuel system with single -6 lines coming off of twin GT pumps connected in a FORE hat. then a Y adapter to a single -8 line to another Y adapter to single -6 lines for each rail. you will also need to upgrade your FPDM's as well to handle the extra current and to avoid running a boost a pump. you will also need 60# injectors and a MAFIA.
Cooling i would upgrade to a larger reservoir and a dual fan heat exchanger to keep the IAT's in check.

i'm leaning more towards the 2.8L. There wont be any clearance issues, right around the same hp output. I want to know how the install is with them. i know they are a direct replacement, but how tough. I plan on doing the work myself and trailer it to a tuner to have the dyno done. Just wondering it anyone has done the work before, what was the base hp and what mods they have done since.

Well i like the idea of keeping the stock hood...i know a cobra isnt much of a sleeper, but i like the stock look with the brute to back it up. I'm most likely going with the 3.4L. Just have to keep doing a little looking around. Anyone have any info about the install...time/difficulty?

I had Delk do the install on my Cobra for the KB. It took about 5 guys less than a whole day and it was on the dyno last night. I never let other people work on my car, but for the SC I was too afraid of messing something up. It only costed me a little under $700, but my sister also dates the oldest Delk brother so not a worthy comparison. I didn't have to get anything else other than what KB sent me in the kit.
I'm not so sure about the Whipple other than I've been spanked a few times by it, but if I changed the pulley on the KB and upgraded the fuel I could run the same. To me the KB just seemed like an easier way to go, and it's what the guys at Delk recommended.
And the whine of the KB sounds wayyyy better than the Whipple. When I took it to the road course all the guys were cussing me because all they could hear was the whine of the KB over their cars lol.
