Well we all know there are tons of upgrades out there..Vipers can hold up to 2000 hp asked dodge my self.. Pretty soon im going to be a 2000 Saleen S281 Mustang owner looking foward to haveing one ... Any recommendations on what kind of performace parts etc i should use..

I wouldn't waste money on a Saleen....your paying for the name. A clean 03/04 Cobra will whoop a Saleen anyday..in comfort, speed and handling.
And for $80,000, they should have 2000hp stock! :angry7:

To get 2000 hp on a viper its around 400,000 or 600,000 dont like 04 Cobras Ford said they had one in stock but dont like em at all dont look as good as the saleen i can have a saleen have same horsepower as the Viper 500 and the saleen will do 0-60 3.7 seconds and put more money to make it even faster so im all set ..

Buy the Cobra and put the body kit on if you want, a Saleen is a waste of money.

Dude, let me explain somthing to you about the difference betwen the Cobra and s281.
The Cobra has Independent Rear Suspension, the S281, has a solod axle like the GT. THere is NO WAY the s281, with a solid axle, and the Saleen stiff suspension will be anywhere near as comfortable as a Cobra..it's night and day, I know, I have driven them all...and I mean ALL. Now this is your decision, but just make sure your basing it truly on what you want, not what you think. I would hate to see you come back unsatisfied with your purchase.

 

Ive driven both 2.. I Like saleen better comfortable to me cobra nope im used to driveing in a stiff suspension since my viper is like it..

 

very nice. saleen side scoops are, by far, my favorite.

0.2 seconds 0-60 difference means nothing unless you can drive it right - depending on how well you shift and all a cobra svt can definetely embarress a saleen and visa versa. i like them both though so either way your buying a damn nice car. good luck with it and post pictures so i can be jealous lol

Your racing a convertible against a hardtop? Why not just tie an anchor to the Cobra......Cobra Coupe is $32-33,000msrp....and will run mid-high 12's on street tires all day long. I have seen it many times. Get your Saleen, come to my track....and we'll see how you run against a car with no where near the power you have. I enjoy beating $40,000 cars....... $42,000 thats plain retarded. You seem to have more money than sense my friend. Sorry if this offends you. This whole thread was to show the potential of the Cobra's with simple bolt ons and the switch to a KB blower, you have turned it into "How much money shall I pi$$ away on my next vehicle?"

is exactly tru.. It doesnt really matter about the performace to me i just like the styling etc... If i wanted a performace car i would of bought the Lotus Elise or a Corvette Z06 so i can race my dad with his Viper...
