for 1400 you can get a supercharger and be much much happier. 2valves dont really do anything with out boost. i havnt heard how much they like nitrous though.
i personally like all the major brands, as well as harris speed works, dynotune makes some great stuff, and nitro daves makes some amazing stuff as well. basic wet kit, purge, bottle heater, fuel pressure safety switch, and lean shut down from dynotune should be more then enough!

Dont know if i would be much happier without nitrous, but everyone is different i guess.
YOu just need any Ford efi wet kit. All the brands are good, compucar,nx, nos, Ny-trex, dyno tune, etc.... there all good i would however stay away from Venom.
I run the compucar ford 4.6 efi wet kit jetted for 125 or 150hp depending on how i feel. We have lots of info on what you will need.
But for a quick once over a set of colder spark plugs will be needed like autolite 103's or NGK TR6's are both good and i have used both so i would recommend them. If your a manual tranny car i would highly suggest getting a window switch so you can set when the nitrous turns on and off when the car is at WOT with the system turned on. Its a cool thing to have so you dont worry about spraying at to low of an rpm.
Thats all my brain has for now im sleepy.

To be honest like i tell most people if you run a 100shot they jet the kits so rich i really wouldnt worry about it. I would check the a/f ratio out possibly but honestly I dont think its really needed. I mean its a good idea and you will possibly gain some more power but the stock tunes on our cars is so tame its ok not to. Some will agree some will disagree its my thoughts on it. Been 3 years untuned on a 125shot with just checking my a/f ratio out with a freinds wideband.
For the kit shop around you will see a wide variation in prices over the net. Sometimes a local shop will have killer deals on kits too. I once saw a new NOS wet ford efi kit new for 350 with a full bolt here at a local domestic performance shop. So shop around. Honestly like i said all the kits now days are alot alike so find one at a good price you like and go for it. Just dont get venom trust me.
I would highly suggest getting a "wet" kit also as it injects fuel and nitrous together. Otherwise with a "dry" kit you will have to change injectors, get a tune, etc.. for it. Where as the wet kit can be bolted on and used once you set your car up.
Oh and i would highly suggest a bottle heater it makes it alot more fun when you have high bottle pressure all the time.

I'd either go with the Nitrous Outlet one, or the NX plate kit:

Here you have a complete package:
